Feminine Energy in Work – The New Way Forward
My mind says, go.
But my body says, no, not yet. Stay quiet a little longer. Listen. Sense. Then act.
Summer’s heat has softened into autumn’s golden rhythm. My girls are back in school, and the call to dive into my work is strong. Yet within, I hear a quiet voice:
Wait. Not yet.
A friend recently shared a phrase that now pulses in me like a drumbeat:
“Trust, not thrust.”
For years, life moved like a storm, fast, demanding, and relentless. I did not want to acknowledge it, but I was living in a constant state of burnout. I was living in thrust mode, chasing time and slightly numb to what my body really needed.
But now, I’ve found something different. A quieter rhythm. A river of divine timing. It has asked me to soften, to trust, to flow. To allow joy and nourishment into the way I work, lead, and live.
We Are Not Machines. We Are Seasons.
As women, we are wired to create and move differently. Our energy, creativity, and clarity come in waves, like nature, like the moon.
Some days we are blooming! We are magnetic, expansive, and love to be visible.
Other days, we are drawn inward. We feel sensitive, discerning, and crave stillness.
When I was younger, I would shame myself for these “moody ways of being”. I now understand that these shifts are sacred seasons within us, shifting four times each month, guiding how and when we work best.
When we begin to honor these cycles - not override them - we find ease, energy, and natural momentum. This is the feminine way of creating: one that is rooted in deep listening, not force.
When Is “Go Time” for the Feminine?
As the world shifts - schools reimagined, careers redesigned, AI accelerating everything - we are being asked to reconsider how we work.
We are being invited to remember how we are built.
Our mothers and grandmothers didn’t have this luxury. They had to survive systems that ignored the body and its wisdom. But we, here and now, are being called to lead differently.
This is a time of powerful rebalancing between the masculine and feminine.
A time to rewrite the patterns that led to burnout and disconnect.
A time to bring the body and soul back into how we create.
And it begins by listening to our inner seasons.
The Four Inner Seasons of the Feminine Body
Whether you bleed monthly or no longer do, your body still cycles. Even in menopause, women are naturally attuned to the moon and still moving through energetic phases that mirror these seasons. This is your biological and spiritual rhythm. It never leaves you.
WINTER: Menses | New Moon
Body: Energy is low. Cravings for solitude and rest arise. The body is cleansing and releasing.
Spirit: Intuition is strongest. The veil between you and your soul voice is thin.
Medicine: Rest. Reflect. Listen. Dream.
Ask: What am I ready to let go of?
SPRING: Follicular Phase | Waxing Moon
Body: Energy begins to rise. You feel lighter, more open, and ready to create.
Spirit: Fresh ideas and perspectives come easily. It’s a time of beginnings.
Medicine: Initiate. Plan. Play.
Ask: What wants to emerge through me?
SUMMER: Ovulation | Full Moon
Body: Strength, stamina, and sensuality peak. You feel magnetic.
Spirit: You are expressive, radiant, and connected. Ideal time for visibility.
Medicine: Speak. Shine. Collaborate.
Ask: What am I here to give?
AUTUMN: Luteal Phase | Waning Moon
Body: Energy begins to descend. Sensitivity increases.
Spirit: Truths surface. You become more inward and discerning.
Medicine: Complete. Set boundaries. Rest.
Ask: What truth is being revealed?
A Natural Way to Work
We wouldn’t sunbathe in a snowstorm!? Yet many of us try to create while in our inner winter, push through our autumn, or ignore the call to rest.
When we begin to work with our cycles, not against them, we become more efficient, more magnetic, and deeply nourished.
Short sprints of aligned action become more powerful than months of scattered effort.
This is the way of the feminine:
To move in harmony with the tides.
To trust the quiet.
To honor when it’s time to shine, and when it’s time to turn inward.
The Invitation
Our bodies have been speaking all along.
Are we finally ready to listen?
Not all moments are meant for conquering.
Some are meant for softening.
For receiving.
For remembering.
So as you step into this new season, autumn’s rhythm, school, work and creation—ask yourself:
What would change if I trusted my timing?
What would it feel like to work from alignment instead of urgency?
Let your work be rooted in body wisdom.
Let your days follow the moon.
Let your power rise from presence instead of pressure
Trust, not thrust.
This is the new way forward.
What if your body already knows when to rest, create, and shine?
